PROGRAM „STUDIRAJ I RADI“ – Univerzitet Privredna akademija Brčko × RTV Puls Brčko

University “Privredna akademija” Brčko and RTV Puls Brčko are launching the “STUDY AND WORK” program, based on modern work-study, co-op, and work-integrated learning principles used by leading universities around the world.

The basic idea is simple:

A STUDENT DOES NOT WAIT FOR GRADUATION TO START A CAREER.

The student studies, works, earns an income, gains experience, and more easily finances their education at the same time.

  1. 15 STUDENTS – WORK AT RTV PULS BRČKO

The program offers 15 positions for students of the Privredna akademija Brčko University who will work directly at the RTV Puls Brčko premises.

A student can work, according to their skills and interests, as:

TV or radio host, journalism assistant, reporter, camera operator, camera assistant, sound technician, editor, directing and production assistant, social media assistant, graphic design assistant, marketing assistant, administrative or logistics assistant, as well as in facility maintenance and cleaning roles.

MONTHLY VALUE FOR THE STUDENT:

  • 800 KM – compensation for work
  • 300 KM – tuition support

TOTAL: 1,100 KM PER MONTH

This way, during their studies, the student gains real work experience, income, and support for financing their education.

  1. 50 ONLINE STUDENTS – 50 CORRESPONDENTS

The second part of the program is intended EXCLUSIVELY FOR ONLINE STUDENTS of the University “Privredna akademija” Brčko.

Planned for up to:

50 ONLINE STUDENTS FROM 50 DIFFERENT CITIES

from:

Bosnia and Herzegovina • Serbia • Montenegro • Croatia

A simple principle is applied:

1 CITY = 1 ONLINE STUDENT = 1 RTV PULS CORRESPONDENT

The student remains living in their own city, studies online, and at the same time becomes an RTV Puls student correspondent for their city and surrounding area.

NO PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED

The student only needs:

THEIR OWN MOBILE PHONE.

With it, they can record events, take photographs, collect statements, conduct interviews and surveys, record short video reports, and document interesting stories from their city.

The student then sends the material to the RTV Puls Brčko newsroom.

THE EDITORIAL TEAM DECIDES WHAT GETS PUBLISHED

The student correspondent does not have the right to publish independently on behalf of RTV Puls.

Every report goes through:

RECORDING → SUBMISSION TO THE EDITORIAL TEAM → EDITORIAL REVIEW → VERIFICATION → PROCESSING → APPROVAL → PUBLICATION

Only content approved by the editorial team may be published as RTV Puls content.

CORRESPONDENT'S OBLIGATION

The student is required to prepare at least one substantial report every other day, i.e. approximately 15 quality reports per month.

For properly fulfilling the obligations of the online student program, the student receives:

300 KM MONTHLY TUITION SUPPORT

i.e. up to 3.600 KM annually.

  1. WHAT DOES THE STUDENT GET?

The goal of the program is not just financial benefit.

The student receives:

training • a mentor • practical work • experience • a portfolio • professional contacts • exposure to a professional newsroom • a certificate of acquired experience.

The idea is that after completing their studies, the student does not enter the job market with just a degree, but with a degree and concrete experience gained during their studies.

  1. PROGRAM BASED ON MODERN GLOBAL PRACTICES

Leading universities around the world have been developing models for decades that connect academic education with real-world work experience.

The University of Waterloo, through its well-known co-op system, provides students with paid work experience during their studies and states that students can use their earnings to help finance tuition and living expenses.

Northeastern University also uses a well-developed co-op model in which students apply academic knowledge through real-world professional experience.

The “STUDY AND WORK” program brings this core philosophy to our environment and adapts it to the University “Privredna akademija” Brčko and RTV Puls Brčko.

  1. A TOTAL OF 65 STUDENTS

15 students – work at RTV Puls Brčko

50 ONLINE students – correspondents from 50 cities

TOTAL: 65 STUDENTS

Four countries.

Fifty cities.

One television and radio network.

One student program.

STUDY. WORK. EARN. LEARN. BUILD YOUR CAREER.

For an online correspondent:

Your mobile phone is your camera.
Your city is your field.
RTV Puls is your newsroom.
